I've been told and seen the different variations of the last name... Gribnitz is the name used now- but I'm curious on what it was before the American Bastardization of the name and hopefully get some information on my great grandparents- and hopefully get further out into the great great-grandparents.

I've seen Griebnitz listed on the ship logs- but none looked to be family.
My Aunt had found an old 1908 Berlin Address book- and with my friends help- it shows "Griebniz" listed.

So any help would be appreciated!
