My fifth gr-grandfather, Johann WOHLERS was born about 1670? in Selingen?, close to the Hamburg area. His wife was Hebbel DUDEN *1673? Place? My 4th gr-grandfather was Johann WOHLERS *13 June 1698, +4 Nov 1754 in Selingen? oo Margarethe AUGUSTINS *+? Her father was Peter AUGUSTINS *Farven +?, oo? The following villages are all in the Hamburg area, where my ancestors remained for centuries: Dollern, Helmste, Bargstedt, Aspe, Sauensiek (the KLINTWORTH's are from here).

On 4 Nov, 1832 in Dollern, Hannover, my gr-grandfather Joachim WOHLERS was born. He was a private school teacher in Stade. His first wife was Anna Meyer. They had two children, maybe a third (a son). They were Augusta A.A. WOHLERS * 1860, and Rudolf J. WOHLERS *1867. Anna died, and Joachim oo Anna Rebekka KOHRS on 14 March 1876. Anna KOHRS was * 4 March 1846 in Buxtehude, close to Dollern. Anna's father's name was Hinrich KOHRS *1802 +1860.

In 1881, Joachim and Anna immigrated to Lyons, Clinton Co. Iowa, USA with Joachims two children. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
