Dear Eva, I apologize for being several years late in my reply to your post.
I had let my membership in ancestry.com lapse and did not see your reply to my post until now.
I have now lived in Wisconsin since 1978. But I was born in New York City. I don't know of any connection between our two lines.
However, there may be a connection BEFORE our two Theiss lines came to America from Germany.
Eva, do you know of any male Theiss relatives who have taken, or would be willing to take, a male line Y-DNA Test with Family Tree DNA (or with Ancestry.com)?
My Y-DNA Test results are posted on Family Tree DNA, Ancestry.com and on Y-Search.
If we match, then we have a common, direct, male-line Theiss ancestor back in Germany.
Also, I tried your email address
forevawm@att.net, but it was no longer in service.
If you will send me your current email address, I will send you some Theiss Family photos and documents as attachments.
Sincerely in Christ,
George Theiss
