I am looking for information my Great Great Grandmother Louisa Dupuis who was born in Switzerland (I think Basel-Stadt) c1837.
She married my Great Great Grandfather George Hurst at Hamble, Hampshire, England 25 December 1861. Her father's name is given as Louis Dupuis on the marriage certificate.
At the time she was living in Great Barton, Suffolk, England and employed as a housekeeper.
I have been unable to find her on the 1861 English census so assume she had only been in England for a short while at the time.
