Searching for info on Franz N Niederberger b 1846 in Stans, Switzerland. Married Francisca Christen 7 Mar 1876 in Stans. Franz had a brother and a sister, fathers name Nicholas, mother was Theresa Fischer. He was in the army when his father died. His brother did not want the farm, Franz sold it and had a wine & beer store but didn't do too well.

Francisca was a cousin to Father Adehelma Odermatt who was the Abbott at Abbey at Mt. Angel, Oregon USA who wrote them of land being given away there.

Franz & Francisca Niederberger left Switzerland in 1883 with their 7 children, Frances, Agnes, Nannette, Gustav, Fernande, & Walter. Franz farmed in Oregon until his death of typhoid fever in 1895. Francis lived into her 90's and died in 1934.
