I am researching several RESPINI family members that came to Australia in the 1850's. Some of these immigrants stayed. In particular, I am after information on Pietro Ferdinando (Peter) RESPINI b. 1839 in Cevio, Ticino. His father, Carlo Antonio RESPINI also travelled to Australia, but returned to Switzerland in 1862 after being charged for the manslaughter of a Chinese immigrant in Victoria. Carlo was born in about 1811. I want to confirm his wife's details as perhaps Mary MARTINOIA or possibly Martinini. What became of Carlo. Did he have any other children?
