I am trying to track down my great grandparents Joseph Biritz and Justina Sinkowitz who supposedly came from Kophaza. My g-grandfather emigrated in 1909 and g-grandmother came to U.S. 2 yrs later, settling eventually in Chicago. They were ethnic Croats. I am looking for anyone who may have some information on this village and possibly on my mother's family. Any information would be deeply appreciated.
