I have the Buchacher family in my tree but I have not yet made connections to any other Buchachers (and there are many!). My ancestor is Maria Buchacher from the Tressdorf (Gailthal) area of Carinthia, probably born around 1810-1820 (she had a daughter in 1837, so I am estimating her birthdate). Maria married Christof Schabus.

Does anyone else have information on Buchacher or Schabus? These two families seem to be interwoven throughout many decades with many descendants, but so far I have not made a connection to my tree.

As for Bock, I have seen this name in Lutheran church records for Carinthia. You can now go through these records online for the years of approx. 1850 - 1900. Go to: www.familysearch.org and click on the Europe subcategory. There you'll find the Lutheran church records listed. It's pretty straightforward from there.
