I am seeking information about Peter Pignitter (born: Feb.1845), his wife, Christina (born: Dec. 1856)and their
family. Michael - born: Oct. 1880; Mary - born: 1883; Josephine - born March 1890; Amelia - born: June 1890; and Helena - born: Aug, 1891. They may have also had a son, John, who died as an infant or child. Peter and Mary went
to the United States of America in 1893. The rest of the
family, Christina, Michael, Josephine, Amelia and Helena went to the United States in 1894. I think they lived somewhere along the Austria - German border. My grandfather,Michael, spoke high German. Peter or Michael's father may have been Breittendollar(spelling???) or Breittenbender(spelling???). By 1920 they spelled their
name Pegnetter in English. I would like any information or family connection about the Pignitter name and the family. Thank you.
